Highly Fire-Protected Hotel

The certification standard consists of a total of 65 points that must be met. These points are divided into four parts.

To become certified, a fire safety diagnosis is conducted in which the following points are checked and met:

  • Fire Safety Policy
  • Implementation of Fire Safety Matters in the Operation
  • Documented Fire Safety Organization
  • Flammable Substances
  • Job Descriptions for Fire Safety Manager, Fire Safety Inspector, Facility Maintenance Personnel, and Responsible Person for Flammable Substances
  • Employee Training
  • Documentation of Fire Risks and Measures
  • Fire Safety Procedures
  • Inspection of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems, Evacuation Alarms, and Water Sprinkler Systems
  • Electrical Installations
  • Procedures for Self-monitoring of Fire Safety
  • Structural Fire Protection
  • Evacuation
  • Higher Requirements for Fire Safety Managers and Fire Safety Inspectors Regarding Training and Quantity
  • The hotel must have 24/7 staffing
  • Self-checks must be performed every month
  • Every hotel guest must receive fire and evacuation instructions
  • The hotel must be equipped with a water sprinkler system
  • All activities associated with and adjacent to the hotel must comply with applicable norm requirements. This includes, for example, restaurants, nightclubs, parking garages, spa departments, gyms, pools, shops, etc.
