General conditions for the Book Fair Play and the physical arrangement Göteborg Book Fair (“the Service”)

A purchase of digital access to the Book Fair Play provides access to all live seminars during the physical Book Fair which is taking place on the 23-26th of September 2021. The digital content is accessible until the 31st of December 2021. When purchasing a ticket to the physical event during the Book Fair 2021, digital access is included. The physical ticket is only valid on 1 selectable day on the 23-26th of September or every four days, 23-26th of September.

The book fair play (“The Service”) and the physical arrangement The book fair is provided by the Swedish Fair Gothia Towers AB (“SMGT”), company organisation number 559080-8290, with address Box 5184, 412 94 Gothenburg. SMGT is part of the group of companies in which the Swedish Exhibition and Convention Foundation, company organisation number 857201-2444 constitutes the parent company (the “Group”). You as a customer and user of the Service (“You”) can take part in the Group’s policies by visiting the Group’s website www.svenskamassan.se.

These General Terms and Conditions (together with the documents referred to herein) apply to and are legally binding to all users of the Service and visitors to the physical fair. You as a customer must read and accept these terms before using the service. By using the service, you indicate that you accept and agree to these general terms and conditions and that you undertake to comply with them. These general terms and conditions apply as long as you have a customer relationship with SMGT. If at any time you do not accept or are otherwise unable to comply with the general terms and conditions, you are not entitled to use the service.

Access to and use of the Service

To use the service, you need to register as a customer by creating a user account on bokmassan.se. You do this by registering on the Website and agreeing to these general terms and conditions and associated documents.

All seminars in the Book Fair’s seminar program which are included in the digital access are broadcast live on Bokmassan.se on Bokmässan Play 23-26th of September 2021 according to a predetermined program, and are then available until 31st of December 2021. The content is available in all countries that allow bokmassan.se. The physical ticket is valid 1 selectable day 23-26 September 2021, alternatively all 4 days. The physical arrangement takes place at the Swedish Exhibition Center in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The purchase is binding and linked to My pages on bokmassan.se and cannot be transferred to another person. This also applies to physical tickets.

Equipment, system and Internet connection

Your ability to use the service depends on you having the necessary equipment, system and Internet connection. Before you make a one-time payment for the service, you must ensure that you have the necessary equipment, system and Internet connection to be able to use the service in the intended manner. Compliance with these system requirements does not guarantee, however, that you will always be able to view the service without any interruptions, transmission errors and the like. You accept that the availability of the service may be affected by, for example, overload of the Website, network or Internet Service Provider related issues, electronic, computer or other communication problem or error and that SMGT is not responsible for any restrictions on the use of the service caused by such overload or such problems and/or errors.

You agree to not sell, transfer or otherwise dispose of any of SMGT’s products, services, or anything else belonging to SMGT to any third party, in violation of these Terms and Conditions

Email address

Information and messages from SMGT will be sent to the e-mail address provided in connection with the registration of your user account. When changing your e-mail address, you must update your profile on the Website without delay. We have the right to consider the last email address provided as the correct customer address. We will continuously send you e-mails with interesting information about the Book Fair’s products and services. You can easily and free of charge unsubscribe to such mailings by clicking on the link “Unsubscribe” in each mailing, or by contacting our customer support [email protected].

Processing of personal data

When you register a user account for the use of the service, and when you use the service, we will collect certain information about you. You can read more about what information we collect and how we process the information collected in our Privacy Policy.

Your personal information will be shared with suppliers so that we can administer your registration for the physical event Göteborg Book Fair, e.g. to the provider of SMGT´s ticketing system, software and distribution. We will share your personal information with a supplier in order to keep your information correct, i.e. to update your contact information, or a survey company, so that you can provide reviews about your experiences. If you use a discount code when registering, which you have received from an exhibitor or a partner, we will share your contact information, such as your e-mail address and mobile number, with the exhibitor or partner from whom you received the code.

Payment

Information on which payment methods can be used to pay for the service can be found on the Website. Payment is made at the time of purchase and will be deducted from the credit card or debit card you provided in connection with the purchase. SMGT does not store any information regarding your credit card on it’s servers. All payments are handled in a secure context by our Payment Service Provider Adyen.

Contract period, termination and right of withdrawal

If you have entered into an agreement with us regarding the use of the service, you have, in accordance with the Swedish Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts, the right to cancel your purchase within fourteen (14) calendar days after the time of purchase and receive a full refund. The withdrawal period takes effect when you have received a confirmation of your one-time payment. You do not have the right to regret and get your money back if you start using the service by looking at the content within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving a confirmation of your one-time payment. By starting to use the service by looking at content that you have access to via a one-time payment, you agree that delivery begins before the right of withdrawal has expired, and that the right of withdrawal thus lapses. You can cancel your purchase by notifying us orally or in writing by contacting us via our customer support [email protected]. Please note that you must exercise your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Immaterial rights

All content that forms part of and is related to the service is protected by Swedish and international copyright law. All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in materials or content that form part of or are related to the service are owned, or have been licensed, by us. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and limited license to use such rights only for your personal and private use (and not for any commercial purpose) provided that you do not:

• copy, publish, reproduce, rent, publish, broadcast, distribute, send or make the content of the Service available to the public or authorizes any other person to do so;

• download, forward or share any of the content in, or otherwise related to, the Service, have access to the Content from any device not registered by you or charge any fee for viewing the Service;

• bypass, modify, remove, derive the structure from or reconstruct, create derived products, disassemble, modify the Service or otherwise manipulate any security function or encryption or other technology or software that forms part of the Service.

No rights, such as ownership or other rights related to the Service or any of its contents, are transferred or otherwise transferred to you.

Violation of these provisions, unlawful disposal and conduct in violation of this section “Immaterial rights”will always be considered a material violation of these general terms and conditions, which entitles us to immediately close the service for you and / or make the service unavailable to you, or otherwise prevent further unauthorized conduct.

Obligation to pay compensation

You agree to indemnify and hold us, all companies within the Group, our related companies and partners indemnified from damage, loss, damages, claims, costs and expenses, including legal costs, which are caused by or arise in connection with your actions against, or your violation of, these general terms, applicable law, regulations or third party rights.

Links from our website

When using the Website, it may include links to other websites provided by third parties. We have no control over the content of these websites and we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage that may arise due to you using the links.

Competent court and applicable law

These general terms and conditions and any dispute or claim that arises as a result of this shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with Swedish law.

If a dispute arises between you and SMGT, the parties shall in the first instance try to resolve the dispute by agreement. If the parties cannot reach an agreement, the dispute may be tried by the General Complaints Board vad heter det på engelska?, provided that the board is competent and the dispute is suitable for such a review. However, the parties always have the right to bring an action in a general court.

Transfer of rights, tickets and access

These Terms and Conditions apply only to individual users, and you may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof to any third party.

Force majeure

We have no liability to you in the event that our broadcasting activity, distribution of the service and / or our performance under these general terms are otherwise limited, prevented or delayed or the availability and / or functionality of the service or Website is limited, prevented or delayed due by law, government decision and / or other reasons beyond our control.
