Sustainable and Inclusive

Everyone should feel equally valued and be treated with respect. At Svenska Mässan Gothia Towers, we see each individual’s unique qualities as an asset. With around one thousand employees speaking 40 different languages, we create a dynamic and inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to grow. Diversity, equality and inclusion are important to us, and we celebrate our differences together. The real challenge lies in turning our values into action. Here are a few examples of how we do just that.

    Räddningsmissionen

    For many years, we have proudly partnered with Räddningsmissionen and supported their important work helping people experiencing homelessness and social vulnerability. Among other initiatives, we raise funds for their breakfast café and organize annual Christmas collections.

    Diversity Charter

    We are members of Diversity Charter and actively work to demonstrate how diversity and inclusion strengthen working life. Our membership gives us access to strategies and knowledge-sharing that help us continuously improve our efforts in these areas.

    Öppet Hus

    We collaborate with Öppet Hus, a non-profit organization that helps open doors to the job market for young adults with an international background. Around ten of our employees serve as mentors.

    Diversity Ambassadors

    More than ten employees from different parts of our organization have become diversity and inclusion ambassadors. They discuss and drive initiatives in this field and take part in various activities.

    Sustainability Focus

    At regular intervals, we arrange themed weeks focused on sustainability and health. During these weeks, we host seminars, challenges and competitions. Social sustainability is an integral part of our overall strategy.

    West Pride

    We celebrate West Pride every year, raising the rainbow flag both inside and outside our premises. We have also invited representatives from West Pride to speak at staff meetings about everyone’s right to love whomever they choose.

    Our managers regularly receive training in inclusive leadership and discuss these topics with their teams to continuously improve the working environment.

    A Culinary Journey Celebrating Diversity

    We have highlighted diversity through a culinary journey called “Celebrate Differences!” in our staff restaurant. All employees were invited to enjoy food from different parts of the world – an opportunity to experience and celebrate our diversity together through one of our greatest shared passions: food.
